Candidate Profile
This select cohort represents the nation’s most promising physician leaders from Leading Health Systems.
Identified as high-potential physician leaders with aspirations for executive responsibility
Has corporate-level responsibility, including clinical or administrative
Common titles include: Medical Director, VP of Medical Affairs, Department Chair
Selection Process
There are two cohorts: from February to June and from June to November.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and encouraged as soon as possible
Within two weeks of submission, The Academy will provide an update on the application status
During the Program
Six-month curriculum delivers didactic and experiential learning and structured networking opportunities. Coursework typically includes:
Financial & Business Literacy
Managing & Leading High-Functioning Teams
Negotiations & Difficult Conversations
Program Outcomes
Graduates finish the program equipped to lead next-generation health systems.
Former and current Leading Health System executives serve as true, life-long mentors
Platform to build a national profile through select speaking opportunities at Academy meetings
Graduates are positioned favorably to apply for The Academy GE Fellows Program
