Overview

Recently announced policy language from Aetna will shift reimbursement rates for MA and SNP inpatient stays greater than one midnight. These changes are set to go into effect November 15 and have drawn considerable criticism from hospital advocacy groups that say the policy changes will distort Aetna’s plan.
