Navigating Complexity with Clear Governance 

In highly matrixed health systems, introducing new cross-functional strategic priorities like health equity without clearly defined roles and responsibilities can make it everyone’s responsibility yet no one’s in practice. Through conversations with HEA members, we identified signs of organizational health equity vitality across 3 health equity governance “gates” that prevent health equity from getting “lost in the matrix.”
