Sutter Health and Allina Health propose $26B strategic integration, highlighting continued trend of non-contiguous health system M&A

Sacramento-based Sutter Health and Minneapolis-based Allina Health have signed a letter of intent to form a combined system with 39 hospitals, 18K physicians, 88K employees, and more than 400 care sites. Following a due diligence and regulatory approval process, the systems expect to close the transaction by the end of this year.
