At a recent tech summit hosted by Bloomberg, the Deputy National Security Advisor for Cyber and Emerging Technology revealed that the Biden administration is preparing a proposed rule that would lay out minimum cybersecurity standards for healthcare providers.

The standards would apply to all entities that receive Medicare and Medicaid funding, according to the report. The Biden administration also plans to offer free cybersecurity training to 1,400 small rural hospitals across the country.
