In mid-July, CMS released its proposed Medicare payment policies for hospital outpatient and ASC services next year, which includes provisions on site-neutrality, price transparency, and 340B payments.
Overall, the proposed rule would raise Medicare outpatient rates by 2.4%. In a statement, the American Hospital Association called the increase “inadequate” relative to the financial challenges faced by hospitals.
