On March 13, the 112 physicians at Mass General Brigham’s Salem Hospital voted to form a union affiliated with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. In a statement, Salem’s chief medical officer said the organization’s leaders were “disappointed with the outcome of the election” but “remain dedicated to working with our physicians and staff.”
