On April 2, the Trump administration rolled out a new set of “reciprocal” tariffs on approximately 60 US trading partners followed by a 90-day pause announced on April 9. However, many other tariffs announced by the Administration remain in place, including a 10% across-the-board tariff on most countries. The Administration has also negotiated with individual countries, creating more complexity and uncertainty, including a pause to Chinese tariffs. In light of this changing landscape, Strategy Catalyst conducted a series of research and discussions on the new tariffs impacts on healthcare systems. This brief report shares a summary of THMA’s insights.
