Chief Nursing Executive (CNE) Forum: Nurse Leadership Conference

November 19 - November 21, 2025

Carlsbad, CA

The Health Management Academy’s Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) Forum convenes an elite community of executive peers, industry innovators, and C-suite nurse executives to discuss the future or nursing. Senior nurse leaders from across the country will connect for thought-provoking conversations and exchange of ideas on how to lead change and shape the nursing profession.

The 2025 Spring CNE Forum will provide a high-level, focused exploration of nursing leadership's critical challenges in care team redesign, academic partnerships, leadership development, and succession planning.

For industry members, this is a unique opportunity to gain insights into today’s nursing challenges directly from healthcare executives; insights that can improve strategic alignment and product-market fit.

What Sets the CNE Forum Apart

This is an unparalleled executive healthcare community. THMA’s Spring CNE Forum fosters conversations and long-term relationships among industry executives looking for a peer network and unique, transparent discourse.

  • Member-Driven Content, Curated for CNEs: All our meetings are built around the priorities that matter most to today’s healthcare CNEs, like staffing shortages, and improving quality and patient experience. From small-group discussions to breakout sessions and executive panels, all content is led by, and for, members.

  • The Right People, in the Right Room: Attendees include 30–40 health system CNEs from organizations like Mayo Clinic, Yale New Haven Health, Novant Health, and Intermountain, alongside key industry leaders - typically CEOs, Chief Growth Officers, and product and strategy executives. All participants are hand-selected based on their ability to contribute meaningfully to the conversation.

  • A Forum Built for Relationships: The two and a half days include reception-style dinners and informal social gatherings that welcome friends and family, and foster relationship building.

  • True Partnership: This is a peer-to-peer forum. The industry executives who attend this program are here to listen, contribute insights, and build lasting connections with CNEs facing similar challenges.

The CNE Forum creates a purpose-built space for executive-level engagement. Every session, social setting, and touchpoint is curated to foster meaningful, candid dialogue between fellow Chief Nurse Executives, Chief Nursing Officers, and select industry innovators, most commonly CEOs, Chief Growth Officers, and strategic product leaders.
