On April 1, CMS released its final rate announcement for MA in CY2024, choosing to make no significant changes to the proposal in January that cut payers’ benchmark rate.
Overall, the agency anticipates an overall increase of 3.7% to MA payments, due primarily to an expected increase in risk scores which will offset their 0.2% decrease in benchmark payments.
